Police are looking for a missing man whose belongings were found near to the Forth Road Bridge.
Xingshaui Hu boarded a train from Edinburgh Waverley at about 10.35pm on Friday and arrived at North Queensferry station at around 11pm.
Since then the 23-year-old Chinese national has not been seen or heard from and concern is growing for his welfare.
Some of his personal belongings have been found near to the Forth Road Bridge.
Inspector Steven Stewart urged Xingshaui to get in touch to let police know his whereabouts.
He also urged anyone with information to get in touch. He said: “We want to trace Xingshaui as soon as possible to ensure he’s all right and anyone with information should contact police immediately.
“In addition, we would also urge Xingshaui to get in touch and let us know he’s safe and well.”
Officers have been conducting inquiries around the area where his possessions were found, as well as across Edinburgh and Fife.
He is described as Chinese, 5ft 7ins tall with an average build, black hair and brown eyes.
It is not known what clothing he may be wearing.
Officers urged anyone with information to contact Police Scotland via 101 and quote incident 407 of November 25.
