Police '˜pile in' to West End hotel to arrest man

A 45-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of theft at an Edinburgh hotel.

Police received a call at 2.10pm today regarding a disturbance at Cityroomz hotel on Shandwick Place.

One witness said: “Police were piling in. It looked like something serious was going on.”

It has been confirmed that a man has been arrested on suspicion of theft from the three-star hotel.

Enquiries are ongoing.
