POLICE in West Lothian are appealing for witnesses following two incidents of indecent exposure on Tuesday 19th April.

Around 5.10pm, a woman was walking around Linlithgow Loch when she saw a man exposing himself who then made inappropriate comments towards her.

He is described as white with a medium build and wearing dark clothing.

Officers received a similar call from two other women at Linlithgow Loch around the same time, who also reported a man exposing himself and behaving in a manner that caused them concern.

This individual then made off towards the access road at the back of the Loch.

He is described as being white, around 30 years old, 5ft 11” - 6ft 1” tall, slim build, short fair/ginger hair, with a scruffy beard. He was wearing mirrored sunglasses and carrying a helmet.

It’s believed that he may have had use of a motorcycle. He had a prominent jawline and was wearing a black leather jacket, a black round necked t-shirt and black canvas trousers.

Officers are now investigating a possible link to a similar incident in the middle of March.

Anyone who can assist officers with their ongoing inquiries into these incidents is asked to come forward.

Broxburn and Linlithgow Community Inspector Scott Robertson said: “This was a distressing experience for all of the women involved and we are actively trying to trace whoever was responsible.

“We believe the same person was responsible for both of these reported offences, and possibly a similar offence in March, and anyone who can help us identify him is urged to contact police immediately.

“In addition, anyone with any further information relevant to this investigation should also get in touch.”

Those with information can contact Police Scotland on 101 or alternatively the charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
