EDINBURGH University’s famous Library Cat has been reported missing.
The black and white moggy - which boasts a major online following and even an upcoming book - has not been seen since Sunday, March 13.
Now university staff have launched a frantic bid to find him - and pleaded with anyone who may have seen him to get in touch.
Library Cat, whose real name is Jordan, has been a much-loved face around George Square for years, and could often be found lounging in one of his favourite turquoise chairs in the university’s main library.

A spoof Facebook page documents his thoughts and adventures, and he was even given an honorary matriculation card in 2014.
He lives at the campus’ Catholic Dominican chaplaincy, but prefers the company of trendy students and an easy life in the well-heated library.
Anyone who may have spotted him is asked to contact his Facebook page.
