Telford Road has reopened following an earlier accident.

As a result of the closure, there was heavy traffic on all surrounding routes, especially Ferry Road and the surrounding area.

Police had closed off the road with emergency services on the scene.

Drivers have been advised to avoid the area if possible and plan ahead due to some traffic that may have been held up as a result of the closure.

Buses were unable to serve Telford Road and are instead diverted via Ferry Road northbound only until further notice.
