A third man has been charged following the murder of 44-year-old Mark Squires in the Longstone area of Edinburgh on Sunday 22nd October.

The 24-year-old is scheduled to appear at Edinburgh Sheriff Court on Wednesday 25th October with two other men aged 21 and 23 who were charged earlier today.

Mark Squires sustained a number of serious injuries during the incident in a lane at the side of the city’s Longstone Inn.

Yesterday it was reported that a third man had been detained by police in connection with the investigation.
