Thousands of people were left without power following a power cut across much of south Edinburgh.
Reported just before 3pm today, the incident was due to unexpected cable fault in the Scottish Power network affecting much of the south of the city.
Power failures were reported in the EH8, EH9, EH10, EH11, EH13 and EH16 areas.
The power cut affected traffic lights and cash machines in these districts.
A spokesperson for Scottish power confirmed that power was restored at 15:45.
They added: “Everyone is now back on and we apologise for any inconvenience caused”.
