Scooby-Doo, Where Are You? He's in Scotland!

He's faced monsters. Ghosts. Demons. Crooked jannies... but there's one thing that really terrifies Scooby-Doo's best pal Shaggy when Mystery Incorporated visit Scotland...

The local cuisine. OK, it doesn't look like haggis, but neither do saltires look like saltires as Shaggy, Fred, Daphne, Velma and, of course, the world's only 50-year-old Great Dane, try to solve the mystery of the Mad Scot.

It's not all bad in the 98th issue of DC's Scooby-Doo! Where Are You? Yes, Scotland is shown as the usual fantasy land, more Brigadoon than River City, but our national dress is presented as decidedly cool.

And while the St Andrew's crosses on their shirts are a tad off, the Clan Wallace boys play a vital role - but we won't spoil the climax, in case you're keen to read the tale of 'Highland Horror', by writer Derek Fridolfs, artist Randy Elliott, colourist Silvana Brys and letterer Saida Temofonte for yourself. The comic is loads of fun, with a second spooky story set at a sumo match - sadly, not in Scotland

Scooby-Doo! Where Are You? no.98 can be found at comic shops across the country or bought digitally via Amazon's ComiXology app.
