Pictured in April 2004, Faith nightclub in the Cowgate was located in a former church. Later became Sin. Now known as Stramash.

The i newsletter cut through the noise

Tuesday night was "Shagtag" night at Gaia. Revellers try their pulling power on the dancefloor on 17 May 2000.
The original Bongo Club was situated in a rather non-descript brick building next to New Street bus depot. Here it is pictured on 6 January 2000. Since demolished.

Establishment at 3 Semple street. The nightclub vanished in 2009 when the area was redeveloped for new offices.

Subway on Lothian Road pictured in 2004. Unofficially known as "Scrubway". The nightclub is now called Club Tropicana. Subway's sister club lives on in the Cowgate.
Massa nightclub on Market Street, July 1, 2003. Latterly known as Electric Circus before closing permanently.
