Four-vehicle crash on Edinburgh city bypass

A four-vehicle collision has caused long delays on the A720 city bypass.

The accident occurred eastbound between the Baberton and Dreghorn junctions at around 8.20am.

One lane was closed owing to a fuel spill as a result of the crash.

It was re-opened at 9.45am once the incident was cleared

Traffic queued back to Hermiston Gait and then on to the M8, to the Newbridge junction, and remained slow at 10.45am.

Westbound traffic was also affected.

Further delays were experienced on the A720 near Straiton where a broken down vehicle was partially blocking a lane at around 10.15am.
