Glasgow 2014 men’s 800 metres finalist Guy Learmonth runs in Oordegem, Belgium tomorrow where among his rivals will be three who have run under 1 min 46.00,

Abuu Mayanya (Uganda), Sofiani Selmouni (France) and Gareth Warburton (Wales).

Learmonth then heads on to Ostrava where he runs in a 600m on Tuesday featuring 2012 Olympic 800m champion David Rudisha (Kenya).

Commonwealth silver medallist Lynsey Sharp is in action over 800m in Rehlingen, Germany on Monday night where it will be interesting to see how close she can get to two minutes in her first serious outing. A fast relay split of 52.7 secs for Scotland in the 4x400m at Loughborough last Sunday certainly bodes well. Sharp is then heading for US where she will compete in the Prefontaine Classic Grand Prix meeting in Eugene, Oregon at the end of next week before moving on to Boston to see her coach Terrence Mahon, and then competing in the New York Diamond League meeting.

Cameron Tindle (EAC) broke 21 seconds for the 200m for the first time at Loughborough and tomorrow the 16-year-old targets the 100m at the East District Championships at Grangemouth. where his race is a straight final at 12.08pm.
