Guy Learmonth followed up his Scottish record 600 metres victory in the Glasgow International at the Emirates Arena last Saturday with another super run to win the Vienna Indoor Classic in Austria last night.
The 21-year-old Berwick-based Scot front-ran the 800m to the fastest time in the world so far this year of 1:47.74 to smash his best time for the season by almost two seconds.
“I felt very comfortable and was well in control,” said the Loughborough University student. “It’s all about building momentum. I’m not going to lie, it felt like a jog.”
Second was Leroy Brice of France.
