Bainfield in cruise control for easy win

Bainfield continued their strong run of bowling form in the East B section of the Seniors League Cup with a comfortable 15-shot home win (62-47) over Tweedbank yesterday that keeps them joint top of the table with East Lothian.

Wins for the rinks skipped by Mike Marshall and Neil Butters more than compensated for the narrow defeats of Alec Fisher and Adam Brock to register Bainfield’s fifth triumph in six games.

Marshall produced the headline win as he skipped Rab Henderson, Dick Wilson and Alan Craig from 4-4 after
five ends to a commanding 18-5 victory.
