Former Kool Kat Rose Anderson had her best game yet in the English Women’s first division for new club UWIC Archers, totalling 28 points in their 90-61 away win at Nottingham Wildcats.

“I played pretty good and overall it was a really good team performance but we’ve got a big game on Saturday.” The unbeaten Cardiff side are playing champions Sheffield Hatters in a game which features the two Great Britain assistant coaches, Damian Jennings for UWIC and Vanessa Ellis for Hatters so Anderson can try to impress as she seeks an Olympic vest.

Former clubmate and GB junior cap Becca Allison, meanwhile, is enjoying a lot more court time this season for Old Dominion University in Virginia and scored a dramatic winner with 1.2 secs left to give them a 77-76 win over Alabama.

The Portobello High FP had five points, five rebounds and four assists in a 32-minute stint.
