Edinburgh Kings slid to their seventh Scottish League basketball defeat when they were beaten 103-76 by second-placed St Mirren in Paisley.
Down 50-33 at half-time, Kings came alive to hit seven three-pointers in the third quarter but were still outscored to go 83-58 down with 10 minutes left and overall were no match for the sharp-shooting trio of Nick Collins, (42), Chris Cleary (28) and Fraser Glass (18).
Kings are still in fourth place in the table but, having played two games more than fifth-placed Boroughmuir Blaze, face another tough match on Saturday when they are away to sixth-placed Glasgow University, who beat them at home at the start of the season and could also go above them if they repeat that win.
Blaze are away to Stirling Knights tomorrow and Dunfermline Reign on Sunday and could go fourth if they win both.
Edinburgh University keep up their chase for second, when away to Troon Tornadoes on Saturday.
