The Capital’s all-conquering student teams – Edinburgh University men and women – now face a frustrating two-month gap before their next games.
Edinburgh women, who beat Robert Gordon’s 83-37 in their latest game, have amassed a colossal 301 points difference, having scored 487 points and conceded just 186.
They next play on February 6 and have a BUCS women’s trophy quarter-final against Dundee on February 13.
With a home draw right through, they have a very good chance of going on to the final.
Edinburgh men, who are at home to Worcester 2nds in their quarter-final on February 13, could then face the winners of Cambridge or Loughborough in what could be a much tougher tie.
