Capital basketball players were again prominent as Scotland’s cadet men showed distinct improvement against Estonia in their second game of the European Under-16 Championship in Strumica, Macedonia last night.

Behind only 26-29 at half-time and 41-45 after the third quarter, coach Russel Kesson’s team eventually succumbed in the final ten minutes to lose 67-48.

Craig Jackson (Boroughmuir Blaze) had another “double double” with 16 points and 13 rebounds in 31 minutes on court while clubmate Sean Nealon-Lino added nine points and five rebounds in 16 minutes and Karl Jimenez (Edinburgh Kings) scored eight points and took three rebounds in nearly 29 minutes on court.
