Lochend boxer Aston Brown was knocked out of the European Championships in Sofia at the first hurdle after defeat by Balazs Bacskai of Hungary.
The 75kg fighter was hoping to make up for his disappointment at being overlooked for the Commonwealth Games, but came up short in the Bulgarian Capital – a decision which angered Brown.
The 23-year-old tweeted: “One of the worst decisions ever. Didn’t lose a round, boxed out of my skin, was too strong and skilful for the kid, absolutely devastated. I did my job but the judges didn’t do theirs.”
