Eastern lightweight champion Lewis Paulin and light-welterweight Sean Spence were star performers at the Meadowbank Amateur Boxing Club show at Woodburn Miners’ Club in Dalkeith.

Paulin dominated Leith Victoria’s Sean White while Sean Spence gave a big weight advantage to Northern champion Greg Paterson, of Peterhead, but still won all three rounds.

Spence’s brother, featherweight Lee, made it a double for the host club by widely outpointing Dunfermline’s Craig Henderson while middleweight Greg Murphy won a close tussle with Cleland’s Alan McGlashan by majority decision.

However, Holyrood novice middleweight Nadeem Amjid stopped Meadowbank’s Kevin Dow in round two while Tranent Bronx club’s light-flyweight Tom Duffield narrowly outscored Meadowbank’s Mark McHale.

Meadowbank welterweight Brian Lacey beat Chirnside novice Hamish Muir on points.
