Martin is also undefeated in 22 bouts.

Taylor will now have an chance to claim multiple world titles – as well as the coveted Muhammad Ali Trophy – should he progress to the final.

The annual boxing tournament, which started last
October with both super middleweight and cruiserweight weight classes, pitches the best eight boxers from selected divisions around the world in a knock-out format.

The remaining quarter-final ties in the super-lightweight division see interim world champion and No.1 seed Regis Prograis against England’s Terry Flanagan, Ivan Baranchyk vs Anthony Yigit and Kiryl Relikh vs Eduard Troyanovsky.

“I cannot wait for November 3 in Glasgow,” Taylor said. “I’m delighted to be boxing in Scotland in front of my home fans. The Scots will get to see the World Boxing Super Series show come to town and I will put on a winning performance to keep them singing.”
