Bradley eyes kayak glory

Edinburgh canoeing prospect Bradley Forbes-Cryans, 16, is this weekend seeking to add to his laurels with success at the Scottish White Water Slalom Championships which incorporates age-group events at under-16 and under-18 when heading for Grandtully Rapid, Perthshire, writes BILL LOTHIAN.

Forbes-Cryans will compete in the K1, where competitors sit in the kayak and use a double-bladed paddle.

Regardless of the outcome it has been a successful summer for the youngster who has set sights on the 2016 Rio Olympics.

In Slovenia last month he won his first international J16 race Earlier, Bradley won a J16 event in Cardiff Bay and was part of a winning team run in Bratislava.
