Edinburgh Accies captain Andrew Cosh led with 86 not out as his side put in one of their best performances of the summer to defeat title chasing Gala in East One on Saturday.
Accies have struggled for consistency this term, sitting in mid table, but at the weekend they were on top form from ball one at Newfield.
Gala batted first and managed 146 all out from their 50 overs.
In the home side’s reply Cosh took charge of the situation and although a few of his team-mates wickets fell he stood firm and they eventually won the match by five wickets with over eight overs remaining.
At Lewisvale, Heriot’s II’s batsmen stole the show as they saw off Musselburgh. The visitors scored 273-8 batting first and the home side could only make 179 all out in reply.
Watsonians II were involved in a thrilling tie at The Green against St Boswells.
Both sides finished on 126 all out for a share of the points.
West Lothian lost to Dunnikier by nine wickets, while Edinburgh South went down to defeat against leaders Kelso.
In East Two, Jazim Sohail hit 110 not out to lead Livingston to a win at Falkland II.
