EDINBURGH SOUTH’S relegation from East One was confirmed on Saturday, while Kelso were crowned champions of the division.
The men from Inch Park came down from the Championship last summer and this term have had a number of injuries, which has not helped their cause.
At the weekend they lost to Dunnikier at home, meaning they will be playing in East Two in 2016.
Batting first, the hosts could only post 117 and although they gave it a good go in Dunnikier’s reply – the visitors losing seven wickets – it was not enough.
It leaves Edinburgh South second bottom with just one week of the campaign left.
Kelso easily won by nine wickets at bottom side St Boswells to win the trophy.
For the Borderers, ex-Heriot’s man Craig Adams has been key with 23 wickets.
Elsewhere at the weekend, Edinburgh Accies defeated Watsonians II by 62-runs and Musselburgh lost to Gala by 54-runs.
Fauldhouse conceded their match to Morton in East Two, meaning that the latter can wrap up the title if they win their final match.
Kirk Brae defeated Haddington, meaning the former will meet RH Corstorphine II this coming Saturday in an East Three title decider.
