Edinburgh face Watsonians in the Murgitroyd Masterton Trophy final tonight at Grange Loan (6.15pm).
The former are looking to win the competition for the first time in their history.
They will start as underdogs as they play in a division lower than their opponents, but they have been in superb Twenty20 form this summer.
Edinburgh player Atif Hussain said: “The club have had some troubles in the past, but we have moved on now and there is such a great spirit around at the moment. We all play for each other and we cannot wait to get out there and play in this big match.”
Watsonians have struggled in the CSL Eastern Premiership this term, but have beaten Murrayfield DAFS, Heriot’s and holders Mazars Grange to get this far. They have won the Masterton before in 1976, 1980 and 2003 and current skipper Ewan Chalmers said: “We have played some good cricket in this competition so far, but we know Edinburgh will be up for the match and we will have to be at our best.”
