Big-hitting Mazars Grange cricketer George Munsey has been in top form whilst on trial with Nottinghamshire.
The 22-year-old batsman, who helped his club win the Scottish Cup and the Murgitroyd T20 last summer, is on the fringes of the full Scotland set-up. And currently he is in the middle of a two week trial with Nottinghamshire which has started very well.
On Monday at the Notts Sports Ground he scored 19 and then 50 in two T20 matches for the Nottinghamshire second XI against Derbyshire.
And then on Tuesday he hit a very impressive 176 not out for the second XI in a three day match against a Lincolnshire Development XI.
After opening the batting he reached his half century from 65 balls before moving on to his century from 139 balls, scoring 15 fours and two sixes.
As we reported yesterday, Grange spinner Tom Sole, 18, is also on trial in England this week at Northants.
