Heriot’s won the Scottish under-18 cricket cup for the first time in their history when they defeated defending champions Carlton in the final at Linlithgow.

After setting their Capital rivals a target of 113-4, Heriot’s then bowled them out for 89.

Earlier in the day, Heriot’s defeated Ayr in a one-sided semi-final.

The winning Heriot’s line-up is back row, left to right, Andre van Niekerk (coach), Jonathan Sinclair, Seumas Brett, Alex Anderson, Ryan Brown, Andrew Penman and Douglas Price. Front, Jamie Strachan, Felix Feather, Sharav Senthil, Max Papworth, captain Mark Watt, Duncan Anderson and Scott Robertson. Chris Acheson also contributed on the way through to the final but was unavailable for the big day.
