HOLY CROSS and Murrayfield DAFS will meet tonight at Newfield in the Parks Trophy cricket final (5.45pm).
To get to this stage of the Twenty20 event for local clubs, Holy Cross have defeated Scottish Widows, Tranent and Boroughmuir.
In the semi-final against Boroughmuir, their opponents made a useful 124-8 batting first last week.
In reply, Zia Ul-haq was the star man for Holy Cross, hitting 81 not out from just 60 balls. He shared in a partnership of 104 with Owais Mazhar, who made 28 not out from 28 balls and hit a six to win the match.
DAFS have seen off the likes of Edinburgh South and Inchcolm to get this far.
When the two sides met on league duty in the Baillie Gifford ESCA Championship last month, it was Holy Cross who came out on top, but it was a close affair and another is expected tonight.
