Watsonians have added Ally Sadler and Callum Martin to the squad as they prepare to play in the Murgitroyd T20 national Cup tomorrow.
The Capital side won the regional event earlier in the summer to reach finals day and know that this is a chance for them to end the campaign on a high after last Sunday’s disappointment.
Six days ago they lost out to Carlton in the Citylets Scottish Cup final having looked in control at one point.
Nevertheless, they still have an opportunity to gain some more silverware and they take on Dumfries in the semi-finals at Ferguslie’s Meikleriggs ground at 11am.
The winners of that one will then take on either Clydesdale or Tayside Group Forfarshire at 4pm at Tittwood.
Ten of the players who played in the Scottish Cup final will be on duty, Brendan O’Connell not involved, with young Sadler and Martin making up the 12 man squad.
Watsonians captain Ewan Chalmers said: “It is great to have another chance to win something so soon after the loss to Carlton.
“We have played some good T20 cricket this summer and we are keen to continue that and finish things off on a high note if we possibly can.”
