Watsonians will have to wait another week to see if they can win their second trophy of the summer following the postponement of tomorrow’s Murgitroyd Twenty20 Cup finals day.
After winning the local Murgitroyd Masterton Trophy, Ewan Chalmers and his men were due to be taking on Autoecosse Forfarshire in the national semi-finals at Shawholm with the winners taking on hosts Poloc or Dumfries.
However, wet weather in the west has caused the event to be moved to next Sunday, August 16.
There will be local clubs in Twenty20 action tomorrow at Craiglockhart and Myreside when the Active Edinburgh finals day takes place.
Baillie Gifford ESCA Championship sides SMRH and Edinburgh will meet in one of the semi-finals. In the other semi, Murrayfield DAFS and Holy Cross – who both also play in the Championship – will meet.
The winners will then play in the final at Myreside.
DAFS will be looking for their second tournament win in the space of just a few weeks after Luke Hayes inspired them to success in the Parks Trophy.
The semi-finals start at 12.30pm with the final set for 4pm.
