City of Edinburgh cyclist Katie Archibald has earned a swift reward for her medal-winning efforts at last week’s British Track Championships with selection for the European Championships in Holland later this month.

Archibald, who is only in her third full season of track racing, took bronze in the individual pursuit before linking up with Fifer Charline Joiner to clinch silver behind Olympic champions Dani King and Laura Trott in the Madison.

She is listed in a five-strong women’s endurance group for the competition at the Apeldoorn Veldorome from October 18-20 which is the first major challenge of the 2013/14 season.
