Local cyclists will line up in tomorrow’s fourth round of the Revolution Series at the Sir Chris Hoy Velodrome.

Evan Oliphant will don Scotland colours in Glasgow to contest the endurance events against a field that includes Welsh star Geraint Thomas, returning to the city where he won the Commonwealth Games road race title, former scratch race world champion, Martyn Irvine of Ireland, plus continental star Iljo Keisse of Belgium, the winner of last week’s Six Days of Ghent meeting, and the German pair Marcel Kalz and Nico Hesslich.

Capital rider Louise Borthwick competes in the women’s endurance events alongside City of Edinburgh’s Louise Haston whose former club mates Katie Archibald and Charline Joiner are also in the line up together with Olympic champion Laura Trott and competitors from Denmark, France and Belgium.

The field for the women’s sprint competition includes Edinburgh Road Club duo Ellie Richardson and Emma Baird who face strong opposition from Great Britain squad members Shanaze Reade and Victoria Williamson, as well as the American Dana Feiss and Melissandre Pain of France.
