East of Scotland dominate Inter Regional squash event

Edinburgh's European team gold medallist Georgia Adderley went unbeaten as East of Scotland dominated the Inter Regional Championships at Colinton Castle Sports Club.

Adderley, 15, and Carrie Hallam, 18, followed their recent European victory in Bucharest with further success back home as East of Scotland took gold in the Under-13, Under-17 and Under-19 categories.

Andrew Hill was also in top form and will join Adderley at this week’s Under-17 European Team Championship in Belgium.

East of Scotland performance coach Kevin Moran said: “We won three of the five age groups and picked up one silver and one bronze in the other two.”

Moran himself will now head to Poland to represent Scotland at this week’s men’s European Team Championship in Warsaw. Edinburgh’s Doug Kempsell is also in the six-strong squad.
