England junior stand-off Tom Heathcote joins Scotland squad

ENGLAND Under-20 internationalist Tom Heathcote has joined the Scotland squad ahead of the EMC Test against Tonga.

The Bath stand-off played for England in the IRB Junior World Championship this summer but was born in Inverness. The 20-year-old, who has Heineken Cup experience with Bath, came in after Ruaridh Jackson was released from the squad.

Heathcote told www.scottishrugby.org: “I am delighted to be called up to the Scotland squad. I’ve always known I was eligible to play for Scotland and I’m grateful to be given this opportunity.”
