Aluko aims to restore Gers’ pride

Sone ALUKO insists Rangers have no time to dwell on their Old Firm derby defeat as they prepare to host Dundee United in the Clydesdale Bank Premier League tonight.

The Light Blues saw a recent run of victories come to an end on Sunday when they lost 3-0 to rivals Celtic at Parkhead in a match where they failed to come close to hitting top form.

But, with second spot in the SPL yet to be secured, Aluko claims the focus is all on United now.

He said: “We are disappointed because it was a bad result at the weekend.

“With the way we played, I don’t think we showed how good a team we are and the good form we have been in.

“But we will move on and pick ourselves up for the next game.

“We have to pick ourselves up quickly.”

Despite knowing administration-hit Rangers will finish what has been a turbulent season empty-handed, Aluko says the players are still motivated to win games.

The winger added: “We have shown in the last few games that we have been on good form and we still have our pride to play for.”
