Bo’ness edge out Camelon on penalties

A bruising encounter produced no goals in regulation time. The penalty shoot-out saw both sides score seven apiece before visiting keeper Scott Christie turned hero, netting his own penalty and then saving Gary Brash’s effort to send his team through.

In the same competition, Bonnyrigg were pushed to the limit in a 3-1 win over Rosyth. After a goalless first half, James Steele broke the deadlock only for Rosyth to equalise. Late goals from Stevie Thomson and Liam McKenna saw Rose through.

In the South Division, the big winners in the promotion race were Dalkeith, who returned to top spot after beating in-form Haddington 4-2 with goals from Kevin Haynes (2), Michael Linton and Scott McNaughton.

Fauldhouse were held to a 1-1 draw at Whitburn with Craig Easton scoring for the visitors and Brian King on target for Whitburn. Livingston United were 4-0 winners over West Calder, Brian Jaconelli getting a hat-trick to add to John Wilson’s goal. Blackburn’s Andy McQuillan also scored a treble in their 4-0 win at home to Stoneyburn, Micky Millar getting the other. In the only other game played, Spartans beat Dunbar 3-0.
