Bo’ness see off plucky visitors St Andrews

UNFORTUNATELY for the visitors the scoreline does not reflect the effort St Andrews put into this Super League game.

Bo’ness United scored after only 11 minutes when an Ian Nimmo corner was put back across the goal by Chris Donnelly and Nicky Walker tapped in at the post. Bo’ness scored again in 31 minutes after a cross from the left by Walker was completed by a great header from Donnelly.

St Andrews pushed forward in the second half but a combination of poor finishing and good defending stopped them getting on the scoresheet.

Just before the final whistle, Bo’ness rubbed salt into the St Andrews wound when Stephen Tarditi pounced to punish a Kevin McMullen slip in front of his own goal. The Bo’ness substitute then slid the ball low past Ryan Sloan.
