East Super League leaders Rose will host West Super League Premier outfit Pollok at New Dundas Park on Saturday, February 13 for a place in the quarter-finals after the draw was made today.

Rose last won the competition in 1978 and Horn insists they’ve got to beat the best teams if they want to win it.

“We could’ve had an easier tie but, at the end of the day, we’re at home,” said Horn whose side are on a remarkable 19-game unbeaten run. “Pollok are a big club with loads of history and they’ve got a lot of boys that have played senior football in their squad.

“To win these competitions, you are going to have to play the best teams. Looking at the other ties, a lot of the bigger teams have avoided each other – ours is probably the biggest tie of the round.

“We’ll fancy our chances with the way we’ve been playing. We don’t fear anybody at this moment in time.”

Linlithgow Rose drew 1-1 with Irvine Meadow on Saturday and, if they can emerge victorious in their replay this weekend, they’ll face another trip to Ayrshire to take on Kilwinning Rangers, who disposed of Arniston Rangers in round four.
