Broxburn Athletic will have their shirts reprinted to commemorate their historic William Hill Scottish Cup fourth-round tie with St Mirren after the original kit had the wrong date on it.

The East of Scotland side wore strips with "February 18" on them rather than January 18, the real date for the tie.

The Evening News has learned that error originated from Broxburn after miscommunication to their kit suppliers. Colin Campbell Sports. However, the Edinburgh-based business has decided that despite no wrong-doing on its behalf, it will reprint the tops free of charge.

St Mirren prevailed 3-0 in Saturday's tie, although it took the Premiership club until the second half to break down their opponents, who were roared on by 1600 supporters.
