Two Edinburgh-based players have been named in the Scotland Women’s squad for the 2015 World Cup qualification play-off against the Netherlands next week.

Uncapped duo Lizzie Arnot of Hibernian Ladies and Rachel Harrison of Spartans Ladies have been picked by manager Anna Signeul for the two- legged clash with the Dutch, the first of which takes place at Tynecastle on Saturday, October 25, kick-off 5.30pm.

The return clash takes place on Thursday, October 30 in Rotterdam, kick off 5.30pm.

“Lizzie is a hard-working player who lives for football and is incredibly dedicated,” Signeul said of Arnot. “She has a chance to come off the bench and play in these games.”

The manager also handed a recall to speedy striker Lisa Evans, who has scored ten goals in 38 games for her country and had been suffering from shin splints. “Lisa is always a threat going forward,” Signeul said. “She brings pace to the team.”
