The 12 Scotland hopefuls most likely to benefit from extension to Euro 2020 squads

The players most likely to receive a call if Euro 2020 squads are extended

With the domestic season wrapping up and no other competitive internationals scheduled before June, Steve Clarke will already have a very good idea of who will be in his 23-man squad for this summer’s Euros.

However, it does appear the national team boss will have at least another couple of places to decide with Uefa likely to allow squads to be extended to either 25 or 26 players.

If we can assume that the last Scotland squad for the World Cup qualification triple-header against Austria, Israel and Faroe Islands was made up of players highly likely to be on the bus to Hampden, then that leaves around another dozen promising hopefuls who could find themselves squeezing into the final unit.
