Balatoni has missed just one match since returning to the Capital for the first time since he left Tynecastle in 2010.

After leaving Hearts, he had spells at Partick Thistle, Kilmarnock, Ayr United, Airdrieonians and Falkirk prior to his stint in Devon.

A statement from Edinburgh City read: "We are delighted to announce that defender Conrad Balatoni has officially agreed terms for a two-year contract extension."

The Ainslie Park side travel to Scottish Premiership side Hamilton Accies in the Scottish Cup fourth round on Saturday.
