The 43-year-old, who was the official in the 2012 Scottish Cup final when Hearts defeated Hibs 5-1 at Hampden, will be assisted by Frank Connor and Andrew McWilliam at Tynecastle. Kevin Clancy is the fourth official.

Thomson has refereed three Hearts matches this season – the 2-1 win in Dundee, the 3-2 win at Kilmarnock and the 1-0 defeat by Aberdeen – and one Hibs match, the 2-1 success over Livingston.
