Dan Carmichael leaves Hibs by mutual consent

DAN CARMICHAEL has left Hibs by mutual consent, the club have announced.

However, the winger’s career at the Easter Road club stalled with a recurring groin injury as he struggled to make an impact in the Hibs first team. He only scored one goal – that came against Alloa Athletic at home in a 3-0 win – in a handful of appearances, with current coach Neil Lennon preferring other players to him.

A club statement read on the Hibs website: “Hibernian can confirm that Dan Carmichael has left the Club by mutual 
consent.

“The midfielder made 
nine appearances for the 
Easter Road side following 
his move from Queen of the South last summer, scoring one goal.

“Everyone at Hibernian would like to wish Dan well with his future career.”
