Dominique Malonga joins Pro Vercelli from Hibs
The Easter Road club have also announced that they have received a nominal fee for the transfer of the Congolese international.
Malonga, 27, was told by Hibs head coach Alan Stubbs he was free to leave the club. The former Murcia and Cesena playe had become something of a fans’ favourite since he arrived in the Capital in the summer of 2014, scoring 17 goals in 43 appearances, but a place in Hibs’ starting XI looked likely to be at a premium, with the arrival of Anthony Stokes already bolstering a top-heavy forward line.
Malonga tweeted this morning: “Aurevoir #Hibs you can do it #Merci”
