The Lowland League champions will be the first opponents for their near neighbours since their historic first Scottish Cup win in 114 years after May’s dramatic 3-2 victory over Rangers at Hampden.

The Hibees will parade the Scottish Cup trophy when taking to the field, with City displaying their 2015/16 Lowland League trophy.

The Easter Road club will play Gary Jardine’s side as a start of their build up to their Europa League second qualifying round tie, the first leg of which will take place a week later on July 14. Admission arrangements will be confirmed following further discussions with Police Scotland and Edinburgh City council.

City are preparing for their debut season in the SPFL having won an historic promotion following a play-off final victory over East Stirlingshire.
