Adult fans can buy a season ticket to watch Gary Jardine’s team at Meadowbank for £120, under 18s and concessions £60 and under 12s can see all of City’s home league games for £20.

Chairman Jim Lumsden says the club deliberately set out to position themselves as an affordable alternative to bigger city neighbours Hearts and Hibs with their pricing structure.

“We thought in our first season, especially being in Edinburgh which already has two big clubs with one on our doorstep, that we had to something to try and catch people’s imagination,” he explained. “Hopefully it’ll help us get some extra season ticket holders in. We’re hoping to get the people that are Hearts and Hibs fans but maybe can’t afford to pay the higher prices and hopefully we can catch those people.

“There’s been lots of interest on social media with people asking when we were releasing our season tickets and how much they would be, so we took an extra week to do it and make sure we got it right and got it done okay. We’re looking forward to it and it’ll be interesting to see what kind of interest it brings.”
