Edinburgh finished third in Scottish football's fourth tier last term, behind league winners Peterhead and play-off winners Clyde.

They have made a number of new signings so far this summer, bringing in former Hibs trio Callum Crane, Alex Harris and Jordan Sinclair, while Jonny Court and Chris Kane have arrived from Raith Rovers and East Fife respectively. Several key players from last season including goalkeeper Calum Antell and defender Robbie McIntyre have extended their City deals.

James McDonaugh's side are in Betfred Cup action from July 13 onwards, and are in Group H along with St Mirren, Dunfermline, Albion Rovers and East Kilbride.

League Two teams enter the Scottish Cup on October 13.
