Edinburgh University Hutchison Vale boss Tom Connor admits his team will be seeking revenge when they host Buchan Ladies at Peffermill tomorrow.

The Capital outfit were beaten 2-1 in Aberdeenshire in March, a match Connor insists his players should have taken at least a point from having conceded two late goals.

EUHV occupy fifth in SWPL 2 but a win tomorrow could see them move into the top half. Equally, defeat could send the club into the relegation zone.

“We’ve set ourselves high standards and we should have taken points against Buchan a couple of months ago so we’ll be after some redemption,” Connor said. “We kind of let ourselves down in that game if I’m being honest.

“I think we’ve done okay so far but I thought we’d maybe be a couple of places higher than what we are.

“We had a really good result against Hearts a couple of weeks ago so we’ll be looking to keep that going.

“I think mentally we’re a lot stronger now so that should stand us in good stead.”

Hearts welcome Jeanfield Swifts to King’s Park, Dalkeith tomorrow where three points could see Andy Enwood’s side up to second.

Hibs Ladies, fresh from their SWPL Cup triumph last weekend, host Stirling University at Ainslie Park (4pm kick-off) and Spartans Women entertain league leaders Glasgow City, also at Ainslie Park (1pm kick-off).
