Five prodigious Hearts youngsters have signed new contracts to commit their futures to the Edinburgh club.

Defender Daniel Baur and winger Callumn Morrison - both 18 - plus 17-year-old Andy Irving have agreed new deals keeping them at Tynecastle until summer 2020.

Goalkeeper Kelby Mason has signed until 2019, with promising midfielder Connor Smith penning his first professional contract.

The moves further underline Hearts' commitment to developing their own players through the Riccarton youth academy, and two of the above will now head out on loan to gain first-team experience.

Morrison enjoyed a productive loan spell at Stirling Albion this season and now joins Brechin City until the end of the season. Baur is headed to Albion Rovers, again until the summer.

Meanwhile, midfielder Angus Beith's loan at Stranraer has been extended until the end of the season, whilst Irish forward Aidan Keena will join Queen's Park in another loan agreement.
