The Scottish Football Association confirmed today that Rossi was dismissed for serious foul play at Hamilton on Sunday, an offence which carries an automatic two-match suspension regardless of competition.

Hearts are also missing centre-back Blazej Augustyn against Inverness as he serves a one-game ban for six league bookings. The Pole will be back to face Hibs on Sunday, February 7, but Rossi must sit out the cup tie as well.
